War and Peace Considered as Leo Tolstoy's masterpiece, War and Peace is one of the best books ever written. The book was first published from 1865 to 1869 in the famous Russian magazine, Russkii Vestnik. War and Peace tells the story of Russian society during the Napoleonic Era.
